Learn Guitar with Brother Dan & NeighborTone Music

My name is Daniel and I've been playing guitar for 20+ years. I love the versatility and range of expression that the guitar allows. It has been my favorite instrument from the moment I picked it up.

My intention behind NeighborTone Music is to leverage the power of music in order to serve my neighbors. I believe we all have a duty and a calling to be a part of a functional and vibrant community where we care for one another using our gifts.

I have experience playing and writing in many different genres, and am able to tailor each lesson to the student's interests, regardless of style or technique.

I have also been a teacher in my community for the last 10 years, including teaching music at The Orange County School of the Arts. This experience allows me to develop and implement each student's curriculum, based on their individual needs. I am also able to provide quarterly progress assessments.

Lessons are open to beginning and intermediate students of any age, however an adult must be somewhere on the premises for students under 18.

Subjects offered include Guitar, Music Production and Recording, and Songwriting.

While I do recommend every student have their own instrument for practice purposes, I am able to provide both accoustic and electric guitars for lessons, as well as any amps or pedals we might need for the lesson.

Lessons are held either virtually, in my home, or, at additional cost, at a location of the student's choosing, preferably within 15 minutes of Los Alamitos.

Tailored Guitar Lessons

Each lesson is customized to fit your skill level and musical interests, ensuring steady progress and personal growth. I focus on building confidence and musical skills in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere.

Guitars are available for in-person lessons but I do recommend that each student eventually have their own guitar for practice purposes. I can provide recommendations for beginner guitars and equipment as needed.
